For the past ten years she has been an approved valuer for the Australian Government's Cultural Gifts Program. She has served two terms on the executive boards of the Australia China Business Council and The Australia-China Friendship Society.
Her eclectic expertise is evident in numerous publications and films with an oriental focus. She lectures on the art and culture of China, where travel has been her passion since 1980.
